UPCOMING DAZE BAND CONCERT
Tulsa Jazz Society, TGI Friday concert, featuring DAZE BAND REUNITED,
Friday, September 12, 2008, starting at 5:30 PM at Hope Unitarian Church,
8432 South Sheridan. Admission tickets are $7.00 that includes 1-drink ticket
for soft drink, wine or beer. The Church is a non-smoking facility.
This concert is very special since it is dedicated to the memory of James C.
Allen who played in the original 1953 DAZE Band and also with this new band
until he passed away last year. His wife, Sandy, and their extended family will
be in attendance, so we are hoping for a large turnout to celebrate his life and
his love of the band.
The program is completely new with the exception of our theme song,
"Harlem Nocturne" and two other numbers that we will reprise form our
March 2007 concert. Pam VanDyke Crosby will be doing a couple of vocals
again and Sandy Sterling (Tom Sterling's wife) will also be doing a vocal.

WRHS will have a Dinner/Dance on September 19th. Time now is 6:00 pm.
Mike Bennet's band will play, same as we had last time, with lots of Daze
musicians involved.
Charge is $50.00 per person, for dinner and the dance.
On the 20th we will have a juke box sock-hop and a buffet. $40 per person.
Come on, join the fun!!!!!
